Chip Repair Disclaimer
It is important to have a windshield chip repaired before the damage develops into a crack. Once a crack occurs in the windshield, depending on its location, it may be an obstruction of view or safety hazard by state laws, and could result in a fine for the owner. Although a chip repair helps prevent the damage from spreading there is a possibilty you will still be able to see the blemish, or a portion of the blemish in your windshield after the repair is complete.
With all windshield repairs, there is a chance that the current chip may crack or spread during the repair process. If that were to happen, or if you are unhappy with the results of the repair, Caliber will credit the cost of the repair towards a new windshield installed by Caliber.
Any chip larger than the size of a quarter cannot be repaired. Also, any chips in your direct line of vision are not recommended to be repaired, rather a replacement of the windshield is recommended.
